Overview
The initial idea came about because, as college students, we often cook our own meals, but we have a hard time figuring out what we want to eat and making sure it fits in our budget. This app helps us find interesting meals while making sure we can afford it before we go to the store. A large majority of our design inspiration came from the platform Tinder, and the way they handle accessibility. Using their basic format of swiping right and left to either discard or save matches, we thought this would be a great format to handle food recipes. We also saw this as a chance to use Wegmans' excellent API to allow customers not only to find their favorite foods but quickly find the ingredients for it.
My Role
I was the project manager and front-end designer for this project. This work involved many tasks such as:
- Defining project MVP
- Diving tasks and assigning them to team members
- Designing UI
- Putting together presentation material
- Demoning product for judges
